Mont Blanc was founded in 1906 by the stationer Claus-Johannes Voss, the banker Alfred Nehemias and the engineer August Eberstein. At the time, the company was manufacturing pens in the Schanzen district of Hamburg.
The first models were released in 1909 and 1910, and the name of the latter was also given to the company, thus launching the Mont Blanc legacy. The Meisterstück fountain-pen, launched in 1924, is still being produced and it is one of the most exquisite writing instruments of our time.
Mont Blanc went on to launch a variety of collections of writing instruments and this activity defined and shaped the company into what it stands for today: a fine, luxury brand with a strong European tradition.
Today, Mont Blanc includes splendidly crafted timepieces, but also leather products, fine jewelry, fragrances and contemporary eyewear. All of these are brought to life using the unmatched European craftsmanship, which guarantees their quality and makes them age beautifully.
