Founded by Charles Tiffany and John B. Young in New York City in 1837, Tiffany is a famous luxury goods retailer particularly known for its diamond jewelry. In the beginning, the store was set to be a fancy stationery shop and operated under the name of “Tiffany, Young and Ellis" in Lower Manhattan. In 1953, Charles Tiffany took complete control of the brand, shifted its focus towards jewelry and shortened its name to Tiffany & Company. The store quickly took off as it was one of the few to clearly mark the prices on its goods. Tiffany published its first mail order catalog, the Blue Book, in 1945, and it continues to be published to this day. The company went on to open a number of stores, its most famous being the Tiffany's flagship store, located at the corner of Fifth Avenue and 57th Street in Manhattan, New York City. The iconic store was famously featured in the film Breakfast at Tiffany's, which showed a dressed up Audrey Hepburn eating a croissant while gazing inside.+ Shop all Tiffany & Co
